Nicolette Bethel Hollas Back
Blogworld Bahamian, Woman, Poet, and GoodDirector of Culture Nicolette Bethel today responded to my questions regarding the absense of our feminist and/or foreign-born writers at the recent CARIFESTA events, by asking some important questions of her own in this blog post. She asks, What criteria are foremost when sending representatives abroad? And who should decide? I'm grateful for her quick response and for being so willing to engage and discuss. Mostly tho, I love that she would embrace our Lelawattee Manoo Rahming as "ours", saying, "she is Bahamian, woman, poet and good." Yes! Nicolette Bethel is ours too, and we're glad.
